Stephen Barclay MP has funded the first stage of a place shaping project to be delivered in the Fenland district working with local stakeholders to develop a place story and marketing approach for the Fenland area, including the towns of Chatteris, March, Whittlesey and Wisbech.
This work will aim to create a clear, compelling and consistent place brand that everyone can all unite behind when promoting local towns, the area and organisations beyond the borders. They believe a new, shared place story will help build civic pride and confidence, help market the area to attract inward investment and create jobs, and support existing business in the area. The impact of COVID-19 on the local economy makes this work more important than ever.
Part of this work involves holding an online workshop for each town which anyone can join. If you would like to join one of the workshops, please click on the relevant link below and follow the online instructions. Please feel free to share this email with friends, families and colleagues – in fact anyone who has an interest in Fenland and its future.
