CHS was delighted to host the launch of Homes for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough (HCP) on Monday 29 January 2018 at our new development in Littleport.
This collaboration of 15 housing associations will work together with the Combined Authority, local authorities and Homes England to increase the number of affordable homes in the area.
The CHS development of 11 homes for affordable rent and 5 shared ownership homes was funded through loans and sales proceeds and a grant from the Combined Authority. A planning agreement is in place to ensure that the homes will be available for affordable rent and shared ownership to local people in perpetuity.
Councillor Peter Topping, housing portfolio holder for the Combined Authority, said ‘This is a step towards increasing the amount of affordable homes so that our children can look forward to making their own homes here, in the communities they’ve grown up in.
Mark Pigram, Head of Cambridge & County Developments, CHS Group’s development arm, said ‘These are beautiful, affordable homes, in a lovely village with great amenities and we’re looking forward to local people being able to move in over the next few months.’
